DIY fan clutch

I absolutely loved the fan shaped clutch by Lulu Guinness when I saw it! I thought it was so elegant and pretty, but not in my budget, so I decided to do my own, inspired by it. The original one has no "tail", is larger and the decoration is embroidered. I went for a simpler version! See the full DIY at the end of this post ;)

I was wearing:

Top: Mango
Shorts: River Island
Shoes: Bata
Bracelet: Bijou Brigitte
Flowers: H&M
Clutch: DIY (tutorial at the end)

The DIY part itself is very easy: You will need pearl paint, thick fabric, chalk stick, scissors, beads and glue.

1- My fabric was a wide rectangle. I first drew the seashell shape with a chalk stick and cut two even sides.
2- Again with the thin chalk stick, I drew all the lines and patterns (it's easier to erase than the paint)

3- With a very thin brush , I drew the lines with the pearl paint and let it dry for 2 hours.

4 - I glued the beads with super glue.

5 - Once every thing was completely dried, I sew both parts together with a sewing machine, leaving a hole on the top to put things inside, then I sew a tiny piece of Velcro fastener. Of course you could do this by hand.

6 - I made a small tassel with beads and strings that I attached to the pointy bottom of the fan clutch.
