MAY 23, 2018
Last year was extremely prolific when it comes to summer trends (thank you, IG!), and many are actually here to stay and pretty easy to wear. Lace blouses, wrap dresses and straw bags still are among the most-coveted items for summer, and of course classic pieces and prints (floral, stripes, dots and gingham) in pastel colors are out. In fact, I don't think there will be too much drastic changes, trends may be more in the details.
Here are these trends that I think will still be desirable for 2018, and my new must-have pieces!
1 - The key piece : White swimsuit
No summer wardrobe is ready without a good swimsuit. This year, I thing one piece swimwear is strong, and white takes my heart, especially featuring lace details. I love it worn as a top, with some shorts!

2 - Perfect shoes :Updated espadrilles
Espadrilles have been in for quite a few years now, so in order to get some more interest, I like the idea of playing with materials, textures and shapes.

3- Jewels : natural and tassels
Pompom are such a cute, fun and colorful accessories to hang to your ears, even better when an earring associates natural material like straw or wood to the bright threads. Think South American party!

4 - It-bags : Wooden
To be honest, I am getting a little tired of straw bags. They are still very pretty, but seeing there absolutely everywhere felt like an overdose. This year, I'll be looking for wooden bags, not so common and perfect anytime, anywhere!

5 - Fabric: crochet and eyelet lace
Call this a 70's revival, but crochet and summer knits seem to be everywhere, and I love it! Such an interesting texture.
I also like eyelet "broderie anglaise" clothes, especially when the patterns get a little geometrical.

Thank you a lot! <3
